Posted By: Hankron
Whether or not the card is authentic, it is apparent that the seller does not beleive it's a PSA8. He lists the SMR for an 8 at $13,000 (I'll take his word on that, as I'm not a subscriber) and he also sells PSA cards. If he thought the card would actually grade a PSA8, it's more than likely that he would have gotten it graded. Hell, for $13,000 I would send in a card to a grading company.

While I understand that he's trying to promote the card, his discusion of grades is disingenuous. And, if he's being disingenuous about the grade, I wonder what else he is being disingenuous about.

Posted By: Robert
I do not trust him. I emailed him two times and asked very nicely if I could see a clearer scan of the card and he NEVER returned my emails. The scan on ebay is not to clear but looks to me as if all the letters in Detroit are the same size which would lead me to believe that it is a reprint.Rob

Posted By: jay berhens
Something about teh front of the card doesn't sit right with me, and was mentioned by someone else, if the seller is quoting SMR prices, then why isn't he submitting the card himself since the card in its raw state would never get anywhere near $13k.

Jay

Posted By: jay behrens
Julie, not sure that's a good comparison. I was at the Sistine Chapel in 1986 when half the ceiling was restored and the other half not. The unrestored side looked dark and dingy. The restored side had life again and all the 'corrections', such as a pope adding horns to Judas, were removed.

Jay
