How can you tell them apart? M202-5 & 4

Posted By: JC
I'm sure this has been talked about. I can't figure out how to tell the 1915 M101-5 Sporting News from the 1916 M101-4 Sporting news. The major players have higher values in 1915.

Posted By: JC
thanks, there was a Joe Jackson on Ebay last night and after staring at the book... I realized the Jackson card is one number off for each year. Your in trouble if your buying the early range of cards on what year is what... Plus, I don't know why SCD would print different prices for each year when you can't differentiate between the two.

Posted By: julie
If you'd read the message as well as the title, you'd see it's "M101-4" and M101-5" he's asking about, and the first person to answer his querry patientlyexcplains that unless this card has a back-specific year (er, year-specific back), there is NO WAY to tell one fromanother.

This is annoying to me, because he didn't see the earlier thread, and because i have a blank=backed Ruth, which Lipset told me, when he sold it to me, was the cheaper kind-and now I don't know why.

Posted By: JC
Hey Julie, I might have read it on old threads, but it doesn't mean I retained it. I actually never read it, and I was looking for a quick answer on it. Heck, I can't even remember what I had for breakfast today.

It's generally a indication of a joke or something not to be taken seriously.

I knew full what he was talking about, as I was the one that answered his question. I don't really have a problem with someone repeating a question becuase as far as I know, there is no way to do a search to find threads that may have the info you need.

Jay
