Is it Possible to Glue a Card Together?
Posted By: Lee Behrens
Hi, I recently received a T206 that I have a suspicion that it was in two pieces at one time. It is in one piece now but has a waxy feeling in area where the card appears to have been seperated. It is not flimsy. I will try to get a scan up soon.

Lee

Is it Possible to Glue a Card Together?
Posted By: brian parker
I am not sure how to reattach a separated card (although applying melted wax might do the trick), but I would say this card has been reattached judging by the misalignment, on both left and right border, of the line surrounding the main body of the polar bear ad.

Brian

Is it Possible to Glue a Card Together?
Posted By: Julie
bgut i don't think he'll try to gloss it over. I had my first 19th century cabinet re-attached (I--er--opened it on the bus...) for $300. You can clearly see the line, front and back. It MIGHT pass for a bad bend, but I doubt it. he used all original materials, except for some colored ink in the crack (only a little), and the glue. It was a gorgeous card, and i was heartbroken...

Is it Possible to Glue a Card Together?
Posted By: warshawlaw
I reattached the display top of a 1970-71 basketball card box that I got in a deal about 10 years ago. Used wallpaper paste and a toothpick to apply it. Worked great (I could open and close the box), was nearly undetectable, and looked great too, until it was destroyed in the 1994 Northridge earthquake along with many of my other possessions. There are other adhesives that can be used, probably even better (I was really taking a shot at it for fun, since I'd not paid for the box and later thought of it as an afterthought for display). The scan of the Cobb sure looks like the card was was reattached. You'll probably want to get the opinion of a paper restoration person on it.

Is it Possible to Glue a Card Together?
Posted By: Brian C Daniels
But that is not the problem with this card as this combination is very real and probable. The real issue is it was trimmed on top to advert the poor visual appearance of all the rough corners and creases!
