Posted By: MW
Shari --

Besides the fact that the seller over-claims the condition of a few of the cards he is selling (which is not unusual for some eBay sellers), what do you find questionable about the 1933 Goudey Babe Ruth?

Posted By: TBob
Any guesses? If he played in 55 and 56, I guess he only played those 2 years or he would have listed more playing time. For someone with a baseball almanac, it ought to be easy. Maybe a relief pitcher?
I wish I had seller's name--I have the '56 set, so I could find his father's name real quick.

Not knowing that Williams was a Red Sox player is pretty inexcusable...

Seller spells "village" like i used to--all tyhreough grad school: "villiage."

Posted By: T206Monsta
I wouldn't even waste time trying to figure out who his dad is. He was probably up for a cup of coffee and was never close to being on a card. It's really probably one of those "fake uncles" you had growing up. Yeah, uncle Ted played for the Yankees (in the NY Penn league). The seller doesn't know the players, the cards or much of anything. Sounds like he was born at night....last night.
