proof that ebay takes care of people who take care of them
Posted By: John(z28jd)
This couldve been under the other thread where David was talking about the magazines doing something about AAA and NASA cards on ebay but i didnt want it to get lost in that thread where they started talking about ebay negatives. Ebay doesnt have a limit of negatives a seller can get if that seller sells enough and heres the best proof ive ever seen.

http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=member@taketoauc tion.com

Posted By: David
I beleive taketoauction is big company that, ala avon, has normal people sell alot of their items. They have offered high end items before, include Babe Ruth contracts. I beleive they got into trouble when they offered on eBay special passes to the Oscars, which is a big no no. The Oscars are possesive and restrive in the extreme about Oscar related material. I don't beleive they even allow the sale of the statues.

Posted By: jeff s
there actually is a maximum allowable neg. feedback (as percentage of total) for powersellers...2%, though that might only apply to Bronze, with higher standards for higher levels.

Posted By: Dr.Koos
...Power sellers must maintain LESS than 1 negative per 100 transactions. More amazing is if you add the neutrals to the negatives, this Ebayer has had almost 2300 NON-positive outcomes on his auctions. With those feedback stats, would anyone put any relative importance on whether or not his feedback comments were Private? Would it matter?

Posted By: warshawlaw
The Oscars passes are non-transferable;they will throw you out if you are there on a special ticket and are not supposed to be.

The statuettes are the property of the award recipient. The Academy has tried repeatedly to stop sales in court and always failed. At times, it has stepped in to purchase statuettes.
