Super Saturday

Posted By: Elliot
As most of you might have guessed I was away from the computer all day today. Logging in now I was quite surprised by the number of posts during the day (I had checked in the morning) and even more surprised (pleasantly) by the subject matter of the posts. But what I can't believe is that nobody spoke about what a great day it was today for sports....

World Cup Soccer, A full slate of major league baseball, two major golf championships, the Belmont Stakes (with War Emblem going for the Triple Crown), NBA final round of playoffs, I just finished watching a triple overtime NHL final game, and a much anticipated World Heavyweight Boxing Match. Has there ever been a better day for sport watching?

Posted By: Elliot
I almost forgot about the French Open tennis Womens' final, and in case anybody cares there was even a football game up here in Canada (CFL exhibition). Of course, most important of all, my children also had a couple of games today.
