Not to cause further grading controversy, but...
Posted By: Tim
I sent a NrMT T206 Walter Johnson "Hands at Chest" card for grading to PSA last summer and it came back evid trimmed. The card does measure exactly what it is listed as in the SCD Catalog. I know that does not necessarily mean anything. I recently submitted the same card to SGC and checked their website today to find it graded SGC 84.

I just thought this was interesting and wanted to share with everyone.

Not to cause further grading controversy, but...
Posted By: Brian Hodes
Really. I think that -- "congrats" -- is the appropriate response. The graders are humans who should err on the side of caution.
I have had some similar experiences and gotten a bit worked up about this sort of discrepancy. Ultimately, even assuming the best graders, grading is a practice and not science. Whose knows you could submit to PSA again a month or two down the line and get a "7" from them too (or a "6" or an "8" ?)

Posted By: Julie Vognar
an ad for SCD grading, accomanied by a "two free card" offer. Is it worth it (takes 45 days, unless you send in extra cards at a price)?
