Those grandfathers....
Posted By: TBob
Amazing how all these 80 and 90 year old geezers had the time and inclination to manage to collect reprinted cards which were issued in the 1990's. I guess a lot of them must have kept them in old desks and trunks, too. Whenever I read, "My grandfather..." or "while antique hunting..." or "I dont know if these are real but..." I turn the page. These scam artists need to show a little more ingenuity.

Those grandfathers....
Posted By: TBob
when was the last time one of your friends called you up and asked you to help clean up his grandfather's old house and maybe look for valuable collectibles (ala the FroJoy ad on ebay now). Gee, that happens to me all the time...NOT!

Those grandfathers....
Posted By: Warshawlaw
I deal occasionally in Hollywood memorabilia. I used to be really heavy into it. One day I was contacted by a client of mine who was demolishing a building and found a pile of what looked like entertainment contracts. He brought them over and gave them to me. Lo and behold, when I went through the pile it was signed film contracts with actors like Ingrid Bergman and Anthony Perkins. Real nice sigs too. Sometimes it does happen that way, just not with reprinted cards with the reprint logo burned off.
