Awfully awkward trimming, though. maybe they just mean, this card wasn't cut <BR>very well, and therefore, 40. otherwise, 50.<BR><BR>Whoops. I have owned at least a dozen unaltered 1934 Goudeys that have a similar cut. Still, without seeing the card in person and taking a closer look, I cannot give you a definitive answer.
