Pack Questions

Posted By: David
I started a new thread as I though this would get lost in the shuffle. Those pack were cool, makes me want to buy some packs/related (has to be cheaper than stinking baseball cards) .... I was just wondering if Leon has a trading card to go with each pack, basbeall or non-baseball. If you are ever intersted I have a sharp 1880s Sweet Caporal sign. I also have a Hustler Tobacco box (the phantom T206 brand), picturing a dapper business man huslting down the street .... Does anyone know if the Old Judge Cabinets are the only cards/related with Dodg's Head advertising .... Lastly, I think it was Brian who posted some other packs. What's the grey circular Sweet Caporal item ... Thanks

Pack Questions

Posted By: leon
I have one for each except the Dogs Head (I have not started collecting any cabinets yet) or the Pirates. I have just not found a Pirate's that I wanted at a price I wanted to pay yet. From what I can tell the cards are not nearly as tough as some of the packs...and you are correct they seem to be a little cheaper as there is not as much demand. My whole pack collection cost less than my Peck and Snyder card . The reasons I got started on the packs is that they look cool, I needed something for my study bookcases, they are not as expensive, and I am running out of type cards that I need that are less than 4 figures....the last thing I really like is the fact that I can see how they were distributed...regards

Posted By: BRIAN
Good eye David,

The round sweet caporal item is a scorer for baseball games. I assume it was either a give away at a game, or more likely available by coupon redemption. Here are a closeup pictures.
