Posted By: fkw
Hi, I have a Hobblitzell with the "Cin" and mine is slightly different as far as the spacing and font used for the "Cin", but this may be due to the Soverienge and Polar bear backs being designed slightly different. Posted By: BRIAN

I agree, the cin is not in the same font, and looks as though it was printed on top of the exsisting print.

I looked up the difference in value according to 2002 scd, and the difference was only 25.00. why would anyone go to the trouble. I could understand it if the value were much higher.
thanks brian

Posted By: jay behrens
I had 3 'Cin' Hobby's and all 3 looked like the eBay one. I remember seeing one the first time and thought that it looked like someone had just written it on there, but I have owned and seen others that look like that. Never owned one that looked like the fonts matched.

Jay

Posted By: jay behrens
The more I look at the eBay, the more I am becoming convienced that all the 'Cin' Hobby's that passed thru my hands were all Soveriegns, so might be a Soveriegn thing. I seems to remember the green ink on the back, but then I am trying to work from memories about 15+ years old.

Jay

Posted By: Jim Parks
I believe that the font used in the "Cin" of some of the different Hoblitzell differs depending on the back.

There is another T205 Hoblitzell on eBay with a Sovereign back and it looks to have the same font:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1813588857

It is also interesting to note that the Hoblitzell variations are not entirely dependent upon their backs. For example, fkw has a Polar Bear with "1908 Cin." and there is another Polar Bear on eBay with only "1908," though they may be from different factories.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1813154427

Obviously, the "no stats" is the rarest, but what is the second toughest?
