Posted By: <b>john</b><p>there have been 10 inside the park home runs in world series history,the last one happened in 1929 by mule haas....the first one happened in the first world series,patsy dougherty of boston leading off(bottom of 1st) game 2 of the series

Posted By: <b>David</b><p>Scott, while I may have mispoke, I beleive in the old days 'stealing home' was applied to crossing the plate during an in the park home run or variety of similar 'crossing the plate in the heat of battle' situations. It obviously has a more specific terminology today.
