Where can I find a good black light and 40-100X magnifier?
Posted By: Todd (nolemmings)
Hello. I'm trying to find a nice, preferably cheap black light and 40 to 100x magnifier to help detect trimming and alterations on vintage cards. Any national chains or decent deals out there that you folks can share? any help appreciated. Todd

Where can I find a good black light and 40-100X magnifier?
Posted By: Eric Angyal
I bought a black light from Rob Craik for about $30 and I am happy with its performance. It will identify items that have been touched up with white out, bleach, magic marker, etc.

Eric

Where can I find a good black light and 40-100X magnifier?
Posted By: David Rudd
If you can get your hands on a nice 40X to 100X handheld microscope at a good price, I'd recommend you get one and you will find it usefull. But I agree with Brian that a good loupe or magnifying glass is best for detecting trimming.
