He had an item I wanted right after he rejoined, but I boycotted. Plenty of other folks will no doubt fill his pockets but it won’t be me. eBay letting him right back in confirms what we already know in terms of its commitment to integrity.

That was so last week…..This week it’s PSA defending changing grades after a buyback. Sounds like Nat was doing a clean up in aisle 3. Surprised there hasn’t been a thread about it here.

What the bloody devil?

So I get my card graded, they give it a 5, then offer to buy it from me as a 5. I sell it to them, and they take another look, magically realize it should have been a 7, and sell it to someone else for a whole lot more?

I thought I heard on a webcast that Rick's Return to EBay resulted in an auction with nearly 2 million in sales. And folks, that's why he was welcomed back so quickly

Hate switching subjects in this post, but when a grader offers to buy a card from you after grading it red flags go up everywhere.

Nothing will ever change. Sigh, all the good folks speculating about which sellers would pick up his lost business.

Apparently PSA did a “review” after the sub was graded and realized that their grades were too low. 9,s should have been graded 10’s. Of course they were changed after the buyback. Seriously, you can’t make this stuff up.

PSA would never deliberately undergrade in order to try to make a profitable buyback or encourage submitters to try again, would they?

As the opening narration on the Outer Limits went, "We control the horizontal. We control the vertical."

Are all "hobbies" an insider game like this?

Had a card on my watchlist pop up maybe a week ago. Was already at 20+ bids and jogging past the "normal" closing price. Then I saw the seller.
