Anyone collect WWII memorabilia?

Got a bunch of stuff from my aunt after my uncle passed away a few months ago.
I believe the medal is from my uncles father but the arm band(?)/flag (?) were in the medals case. Anything I should do to preserve these? Are they worth anything? Appreciate the help. Scott ETA: think the picture function is still down. I’ve got a Purple Heart medal in original presentation case and what looks like a Nazi arm band or maybe something else. In the shape of a triangular flag, maybe 8” x 4”. |
Hi Scott. I also have some medals, patches and other misc. items my grandfather brought home from the war.
I am not sure how or what to do to preserve them, but I keep many of those items in my safe......Nazi arm band and Nazi car flag included. One of these days I am going to research what the German medals were for and what the printed words are. I am sure they have value but with me is the sentimental value from my grandfather far out weighs the monetary value. These will be going to my son after I move on. He is 24 and respects what it all represents. Bob |

We got pictures again ! I can never pass up an opportunity to show off a beer can. During World War II metal beer cans were prohibited for civilian use but the military could use them. Olive drab Duquense
