SGC disappointment
Sent them 3 cards for grading. 15-20 day turnaround promised. Not counting week ends They've had them 25 days with no notice on the web page.

Sorry but
This isn’t even in the top 10,000 problems with turnaround time ….. PSA is also running way behind as well. You’ll get them eventually……
|
Unless something wonky is going on with the order...given SGC volume is in the basement this isn't a good look for the priority of the brand over PSA.
They should be flying through submissions given how little they're grading compared to the recent past. |
Sgc
I too have a small sub sitting there for a few weeks now. I used to really enjoy subbing with them and getting them back quickly and accurately. I'm afraid this might be last submission to them, or anyone, for that matter.
PSA just seems so inconsistent with vintage I'm almost afraid to send them anything. The glory days of subbing raw to graded seem to be over. Hope I'm wrong. |
SGC is on its last legs, IMO. Nat Turner will pull the plug soon enough. Sorry for the heresy.

Hardly uncommon. Their "promised" time should not be derived from the estimate on the website, FYI. They sometimes run close to this, but often not - and you will get a much more accurate estimate by checking threads on the subject in forums like Blowout. Anytime I really want something back quickly from SGC, I usually hold my nose and pay the upcharge for the 2 business day or whatever turnaround.
I would agree with others that SGC is likely on their last legs. Sad, they had a good run for 25+ years. |
Similar experience with a long wait. currently on 3.5 weeks. too bad I really like the look of their slabs. I hope they stay around.
but I do agree, with the decrease in volume you would expect wait times to shorten. |
