NBA Trivia

With the MLB season officially in the rear view mirror, how about some NBA trivia? As always, please don't look up the answers.

#1) Who holds the record for most 3-pt baskets made in a single game?

#2) Which single-game record was set by the Hawks' Cal Bowdler in 1999, and will likely never be broken?

#3) Which teammate of George Gervin holds the highest career number for Steals per game played, at 2.71?

#4) Which player currently in legal trouble is #6 all-time in career Free Throw percentage?

Here are my guesses:

1) Steph Curry
2) No idea
3) Michael Jordan
4) Chauncey Billups

#4 is correct! Curry and Jordan are near the top for #1 and #3 but not the answer.

What about Mike Miller, I seem to recall he was capable of being unconscious from three. Ray Allen too obvious.

Miller did take a lot of 3s, but no. Allen is near the top but also no.

Robertson is indeed #3!

Still looking for #1 and #2.

#1- Klay Thompson- I know he had the most at one time.

That would have been my guess to.

#2. I have no idea but I’ll guess something innocuous, like fastest to foul out of a game????

Correct! Thompson's 14 3s in a game is the all time record.

No but you are on the right track. It has to do with fouls.

Did he record 7 fouls or something, because the zebra's f*&ked up with the maths?

That's it! On November 13, 1999 Bowdler committed 7 personal fouls, though it was not noticed (at least by the refs or scorekeepers) until after the game.

Well done everyone!

Haha!

Had to look up that game out of curiosity. Amazingly he recorded 7 fouls in only 14 minutes of playing time. Scored 2 points and had 2 rebounds in a 95-131 loss. Maybe the other team noticed he fouled out, and didn't care he was left in. :D

Definitely possible! A pretty cool record to have considering he had an otherwise unremarkable career.
