what does "wet sheet transfer" mean?

When the cards were printed in 1909-11, the thought is that the completed sheets were stacked one on top of the other. In some cases, the sheets were not quite dry and the back image of the top sheet bled onto the front of the sheet below. Just one of many oddball print novelties that T206 hounds collect...
