pretty awesome, but he wasn't using the yoyo's I used as a kid.

He was using a metal butterfly with a wider opening than a standard butterfly yo yo. The axle was probably metal also.

The strings in the handful of yoyos that I owned in my childhood would get completely twisted after a couple minutes.
