Royals looking for new stadium

Without comment. It's interesting to see how these negotiations shape up.

Ridiculous. Kauffman is one of the top venues in baseball, especially for kids.

That's what I thought. It's gorgeous from the looks on TV. Of course, I don't walk the tunnels, sit in the locker rooms, use the weight room, see the main offices. Maybe there are possum in the TV broadcast booth. I wonder how players rate it among all the stadiums?

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the old parks that look great on TV (these days just Fenway and Wrigley) are nightmares for the players. Roger Clemens didn't like the facilities in Fenway; that was one of the reasons he left the team.

I’ve been there 50+ times with numerous tours of the entire place — it’s fantastic. It had a $250 million renovation in 2009. Beyond the outfield is a massive kids experience that's unmatched in my travels.

Pretty sure the public is split 50/50, but those who want a downtown stadium don’t want to pay for it. KC is a great tailgate scene for football and baseball. The stadiums are 10 min. from downtown.

There are some great downtown stadiums out there -- and some are an absolute mess to get in/out of if you don't live within a few blocks. The KC stadiums are great for their market, but apparently it's time to screw that up.

I have been there a few times and for an outdoor stadium it is OK on nights when it is not hot and humid. Sadly I never found one of those nights. I think all stadiums should be indoor or have a roof that opens and closes. I hate driving/flying hundreds of miles and a simple rain storm ruins my entire vacation or I have to sit in extreme heat or cold for hours. I basically quit watching baseball when the closest stadium to me closed and they build an open air POS stadium to replace it. Rant over.:D
