Hi! I am selling these 8 vintage baseball ticket stubs.
Please see below for prices and description. It’s a mix of opening day tickets and star power (Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Mel Ott, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron), mostly from the Polo Grounds, Candlestick Park, and Yankee Stadium. Condition varies but they are a bit nicer in hand. Payment by PayPal F&F, Check, or Venmo. Shipping $1.50 in plain white envelope, per two tickets, or $5 in bubble mailer for any number. The ticket stubs go by the photos and are listed as shown from left to right: Top Row (Left to Right): May 24, 1947: New York Yankees 5, Boston Red Sox 0 at Yankee Stadium – Joe Dimaggio (2 RBI) vs. Ted Williams. The Yankees were 1947 World Series Champions. $23 April 16, 1940: 1940 Opening Day at Polo Grounds- Philadelphia Phillies 3, New York Giants 1 –Carl Hubbell Starting Pitcher (Complete Game). Mel Ott and Chuck Klein (HOF). $20 April 18, 1950: 1950 Opening Day at Polo Grounds – Boston Braves 11, New York Giants 4 – Warren Spahn Starting and Winning Pitcher – Bobby Thomson Home Run. The Boston Braves also made history in this game by fielding Sam Jethroe, becoming the fifth MLB team to break the color line. Jethroe went 2 for 4 with a HR and 2 RBIs. Has damage on back (removed from album). $18 April 25, 1943: Boston Braves 8, New York Giants 3 at Braves Field- Mel Ott (2B). $17 Bottom Row (Left to Right): August 28, 1960: San Francisco Giants 15, Milwaukee Braves 2 at Candlestick Park– Mays vs. Aaron. Hank Aaron (2 hits) and Willie Mays (2 runs) – plus Orlando Cepeda (3 hits, 3 runs) and Ed Mathews. $17 May 18, 1962: Houston Colt 45s 3, San Francisco Giants 2 at Candlestick Park -- Willie Mays, Orlando Cepeda, and Willie McCovey (HR). The Giants were the 1962 NL Pennant Winners. Nice condition. $19 September 4, 1960: San Francisco Giants 8, Los Angeles Dodgers 3 at Candlestick Park– Willie Mays (Hit, Run), Orlando Cepeda (Hit), and Duke Snider (RBI). Writing (score of game) on back. $14 May 30, 1952: Philadelphia Phillies 3, New York Giants 0 at Polo Grounds – Richie Ashburn (HOF) – The Giants were 2nd in the NL in 1952 with Willie Mays and Hoyt Wilhelm (not in this game).
