Pass the hat? Small token of thx…

I recently noticed on another platform that I frequent and value as a collector and seller that there is an opportunity for the users who share, buy and sell to pay back a bit to the site owners, moderators etc.

I love this idea! And there is not a single other source where I have learned more about vintage collecting than from this Net 54 community.

Perhaps this has been done before, so if it has, I’d like to reinstate a “pass the hat“ to show our thanks to Leon and anyone else who helps maintain and manage this board

Leon, if there is a PayPal account that I can ask for here (maybe a new one just for this purpose to keep your private one private?), I would like to try and rustle some others here to join me to make a small (or medium) donation to a fund to show our appreciation for all that you do for us.

Maybe a quick little pocket change from all of us here for you to spend in Chicago next month? 💪💪

Just a small gesture to say thanks 🫡🫡… who’s with me?

Jeff

Outrageous! With the price of a subscription to this forum I rarely have anything left at the end of the month. And I hear he's raising it 23% next year!
-
Count me in and thank you Leon for running such a great asylum.

Thanks Jeff (and Phil). When I started running the forum a few years back, I said no member will ever pay money to be on it. The offer is appreciated very much, and I am not a gazillionaire (I do ok), but I would never accept any monetary reward for it from a member. A "Thanks" is always appreciated, of course, but not necessary. This place keeps me out of bars at night too! So, I am already saving money.

I should add, I make money from the banners, emails and some Ebay links, so it's not like it's charity work, though it was the first few years.

In that case, a sincere thank you (from a relative newbie).

Thank you Leon so much for running this board and always looking out for the members. You always are trying to keep us out of harms way and I really appreciate it. Also, thank you for selling me some of your T205's! I knew the seller was a good guy. ;)

Leon, this forum is the best source for info about the old cards and all the stuff that goes with them on the internet. You run this show in truly amazing fashion.

Yes, thank you Leon! This is a great forum and I love learning more and more every year about everything that's out there. You da man

If you won't accept money, how about a '91 Topps common card :)

Fair enough… and let me chip in again to say that I have recently and for the first time done a small paid ad here with help from Leon and it has lead to a couple of new opportunities for us so let me encourage others to try it too…

Thx again, Leon

Your time and effort is very much appreciated, Leon. I'm on the site probably multiple times every day. A great resource for collecting and general hobby and sports knowledge. Thank you.

From one who started, I believe, the first Vintage card chat board, Full Count, I applaud Leon for taking it to the next level and beyond. The knowledge here and the smooth platform make Net54 second to none.

Actually, I took over from Bill C., who took over from Elliot. I think I started about 2.5 yrs into it, or so. There were around 400-500? people on it back then.
