1941 Rochester Red Wings photo

I have a photo of the 1941 Rochester Red Wings which includes a very young Stan Musial.

I was wondering if this is akin to a team issue photo, or if this was cut out of some sort of publication/program. It certainly feels, smells, looks like a period piece.

It is about 8 1/4" x 5.5", about the size of an oversize postcard, glossy, certainly smaller than your typical major league photo pack issue, which is why I thought that, maybe, it was cut out of some publication.

I did find two other examples listed on Ebay:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/335136852406
https://www.ebay.com/itm/166503667475
Both are similar in dimensions to the one I have.

And there was a similar copy that sold at an auction back in 2021, albeit the font is different on that one and it does not have the Rochester Red Wings 1941 on it:

I figured if anyone would know more about this issue, it would be folks on here.

I'm almost certain this is tied to a baseball monthly type deal. Like m114s and the sort. My guess is inserted into a 1941 sports publication.

Or equally as likely a stadium giveaway. For a period image of a pre rookie mega star to be so cheap this must've been very available.

definitely looks like a publication page but without seeing it in person I wouldn't swear to it.

Appreciate the replies. I saw that Derek has it listed on his HOF earliest checklist for Musial.

I was just wondering if it was akin to those magazine cut outs you see listed on Ebay from Spalding's magazine....or if it was more of a standalone team issue or akin to a M113 or m114.

Either way, it is a great image.
