would PSA assign a number grade to these?

1. Pie Traynor hole punched

2. Jimmy Foxx HR totals marked on front

I have a '33 Goudey Ruth with many punch holes and they gave it a 1. The Foxx will probably get a 1 MK.

They both should receive a 1. Nothing is for certain though...

As long as they have original edges and no erasures, PSA should give number grades to both.

Homeroom tallies ? He hit 41 in 1936

well I never actually counted the marks until just now lol. I count 42 marks on the front, Mr Foxx hit HR #42 on September 8 1933 at Cleveland Stadium VS the Indians. Then little Johnny put his card away and forgot about it. Unless you count the two marks on the reverse, as Mr Foxx hit two HRs the very next day and totaled 48HRS for the season.

Of course I don't know what the previous owner was tallying up on the front, but you never know :)

Then you’re counting 44 if you include the two on the back - he hit 44 in 1934 !

I would think Traynor is a 1 and Foxx is a 1(MK) unless they've stopped adding qualifiers

swarmee 06-20-2025 07:57 PM

MK and MC are the qualifiers they are still supposed to use consistently. OC, ST, OF, PD, etc may be minimized but still used sparingly.
