Cardvault by Tom Brady
I stopped by this new location in East Hampton to check it out. It was smaller than expected. There was a wide variety of modern and Pokemon boxes and packs with modern graded and ungraded singles. A decent amount of foot traffic. The oldest card was a 1980 Bird/Magic rookie. Apparently Brady will be there July 4 weekend and is involved in the operations. Thoughts on involvement from celebrity athletes as it relates to the hobby?

I collect vintage baseball cards. I don't give a rats patoot about celebrities. My dogs are celebrities :). Others may be into the celebrity thing, to each their own.

The Eighty for Brady crowd would sure like to get stuck in a card vault with Tom, so I am positive this venture will be a hit with the female geriatrics among us Net54 members.

Thought I read that he is a part owner, if not a majority owner. Has one in NJ near me. Some slow day this summer I will drive over.

I saw an interview with one of the founders. It seemed clear Brady is more than just a name/face. He's a major part of the operations. Which indicates a personal interest in sports cards. That can really only be good for the hobby as a whole. |
I'm thinking the prices on Tom Brady cards in the store will be sky high.
