CGC T210 Slabs Are Hideous

I don't have strong opinions about slabs, grading companies, or raw vs slabbed, (and this isn't my card, it's from an ebay listing) but this is the first T210 I've seen slabbed by CGC. It's hideous. Mylar covers the entire card on both sides. Why? Old PSA slabs have a mylar ring inserted around the card. But mylar over the entire card distorts the view of the actual card image. Is this how CGC slabs all their tobacco cards?

PSA's been doing the same thing too on some thin cards which would otherwise slide around in the holder around the bumpers, and minimizes further damage to the card.

I thought Mylar was crystal clear. If that insert was made of Mylar, I’m guessing it’s not so clear after all.

No

They went through an inner mold redesign (I want to say last year)

I saw the prototype for it at the 2023 National

It took a while, but it’s the most clear slab in the industry when you hold one in person

None of these are mine

It is just more noticeable on that CGC slab because their plastic is the clearest in the industry.

They aren't nearly as noticeable in your hand. This Easterling I just received the other day from Hake's is the first CGC card I've picked up. I scanned it today before I sent it off to SGC and my first thought was this thread. The scan looks crappy, but in hand the slab looks nice and clear.
