A real long short Kit and Kitty card
 

Meant long shot -

I came across this card in my wife's non-sport cards. When we first met and used to go to Flea Markets, she decided to collect non-sport cards. I came across this one we got at one time. It is 1 1/2 by 2 1/2 inches. Any ideas? Thanks.

Just much easier to identify cards when you can see both sides.

Back side is blank. One suggestion is it may be part of some game.

Most likely from an 1890's UK card game.

The image fits the time frame but there is no mention of a possibility of a card game attached to the Novel. Of course, some company may have decided to go with the card game especially since the novel was popular.

I think that “1” in the upper corner makes a game pretty likely….

I agree wholeheartedly with you. Now to try and find that needle in the haystack and identify the game!!
