Any help identifying this Louisville Slugger advertising and what it may be worth would be appreciated.

Hillerich and Bradsby out of Louisville owned the Louisville Slugger brand and produced those bats in factories in Kentucky and Indiana. Around 2005 they sold most of their business to Wilson but still operate the Louisville Slugger Bat Museum in Louisville (worth a visit if you are ever there) and still produce bats for Wilson in a factory in which the museum resides. They used to have a historian of sorts on payroll. Not sure if they still do. You might contact the Museum and see if they can put you in touch with someone who can help you with info on that advertising piece

One other poster here, quitcrab, has a similar advertising piece and you might contact him about possible value.

H&B also produced a line of baseball glove cards and some of the scarcer ones can be pricey. There are usually some listed on ebay. But unfortunately they have not maintained a full checklist

Thanks both. I will send along a note and image to H&B in Louisville. I travel by near enough that I should stop in for a tour. Thank you for the help.

I have a magazine/catalog with the same image on the cover

I'm not sure if I can locate it, but I will try to take a look.

No idea on value but I can date the advertising to 1942. It was widely used by LS at the time in different versions. Earlier in 1940 they used just the kissing image of DiMaggio and seemed to add Williams in 1942. Not sure if that was a newer contract signing; beyond my knowledge. Perhaps the combination ad can be found prior to 42’. I believe they changed to a crossed bat advertisement after 42’.

Couple current sales using the image

(Sorry for the confusing phrasing, lol. I just woke up.)

Thanks for that information and the links! 1942 fits both players. I appreciate the help.
