Early Mets 10K gold medallion?
I wonder if anyone knows what this is from? It's marked 10K, and it feels heavy enough that that's probably right. Something with a third of an ounce of gold in it was maybe not a normal souvenir.
A similar example is on eBay where it is described as a Mets inaugural pendant. I'm not sure the seller knows what they're talking about, though. Does anyone recognize what this really is? 22.9 grams, 28.7 mm https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads...jqwbo7ld6.jpeg https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads...4rfkqvmce.jpeg |

It could be custom made jewelry or commercially made for a shadow box

There is some marking on the top of the rear showing picture…is it legible?

Supposedly made by Josten in 1962 per these listings, however I also saw more references that they were made by Balfour and I 100% think that’s the true maker. Two versions currently listed, looks like the bail was broke off yours.

Goldin had a full set and it also had a compact with mirror- https://goldin.co/item/bill-shea-new...-needs-tjlmjpd I think this is yours - https://www.liveauctioneers.com/pric...mq6vxgA9DPcQo_ |
