1915 F. Vanderherchen’s Sons, 1914 Athletics Champions trade card

Picked this up in an online auction and I’ve never seen this before. It’s a trade card celebrating the 1914 Athletics and this company apparently made the pennant which I assume flew at the stadium. The card is blank backed.

Anyone ever see this thing before? I can’t find any other examples online.

Very cool! The A’s won the AL pennant in 1914 and the Phillies won the NL pennant in 1915. I wonder if these guys made the pennant for them too.

based on its size and one-sideded-ness, I think this was made as an ink blotter. It's a great example.

Oh, there's an old thread of baseball ink blotters, though only a couple of examples, two of which are the 1911 Athletics

I had been told that it could be an ink blotter,, but the back is blank and different than any ink blotter I have seen. I think it may be a trade card, but it could be a blotter.
