1919 Zeenut PCL Byron Houck Vernon Tigers as pictured. Byron saw big league action with the Philadelphia A's 1912-14, the Brooklyn Tip-Tops 1914, and in 1918 with the St Louis Browns.
In 1919, the Vernon Tigers team was purchased by film star "Fatty" Arbuckle who served as team President. The Tigers won the 1919 PCL pennant, but the championship was marred by revelations of a gambling scandal involving first baseman Babe Borton.
After his baseball career, Byron worked on Buster Keaton's production team as a camera operator.
