Goldin Auction Website - Very Difficult to Use
Am I the only one who can barely use this website? It freezes us continuously and it is almost impossible to use. I don't have this issue with any other auction site. Very frustrating to say the least.

I do notice that it does sometimes freeze for a short period. Like if you're scrolling though an auction's listings and go to favorite something, it will not register that you clicked on the star for 5-10 seconds sometimes. And there are some other times when you load "page 2" of an auction and it will have a similar issue where any of your actions are not registering and responded to by the site for a short period of time. I use primarily Firefox with Goldin, for what that's worth.

As a mobile user for 99% of online auctions I can say Goldin's runs the very slowest. But its just slow, no freezing.
|
The search function on Goldin is an absolute nightmare for me to use. The amount of "How the hell did it think I mean this?" results are confusing to me.
Just to keep things simple, a search for "Mark Grace" returns 11 results, none of which are Mark Grace, and my favorite of which is 1997 Pinnacle Racers Choice High Octane Glow In The Dark #HO2 Dale Earnhardt - PSA MINT 9. |

It’s horrible. I still can’t figure out how to check completed auctions on mobile.

Always very slow and glitchy for me.

I’ve posted this before, but the search function in the Goldin app works much better than the website. |
slow / freezes for a handful of seconds when I filter or return from looking at a lot, etc. I don't experience this on other sites. definitely frustrating to the point where i spend less time on the site.
on a pc using firefox |
I like on their app you can search across various auctions with one search.
|
I don't even look there anymore, got tired of the freezing and slow load times.

I have forwarded this link to the tech team at eBay who is working on the site
Please feel free to keep adding to this site with any potential glitches that you see, any improvement you would like to see, and anything that would make your experience on the website easier to navigate an easier to bid and search. Thanks Ken Goldin |
Not a site recommendation although I have had the same issues in the past as others have already mentioned (seems to be working well today though)...
But for PSA encapsulated photos, can you PLEASE adjust your scans so that the cert numbers can be easily read? It's very difficult today as most are too blurry to make out. PSA often has additional info about the photo on their site via cert lookup which can be helpful. Thanks! |
Guess this is what happens when eBay acquires something...they always know how to make a good thing worse..
|
From my personal experience, it's very slow if you try to select/check a category like...I only want to see Game Used items from the auction. It takes a long time to load the webpage to filter the content you are only wanting to see.
Then on the reverse, if you uncheck/deselect the category, it takes forever to go back to it's original state. |
I use the Goldin site every week, and yes, it is always slower/takes more time to load compared to all the other auction sites.
|
Leave results up after auction ends so people can see what happened. Right now it is an ordeal to find results.

I've stopped bidding in Goldin auctions for the very reasons cited above.

even though I apply pre-1950 filter, 38 of the 51 results are post-1950

Use the mobile app and you won’t have that problem. |

And while it’s great to have a workaround that actually works, but it’s still a problem worth fixing if one of your channels doesn’t function as intended. |
