I wasn't even aware of this book until I saw it in an ebay auction. The auction copy went for $22 with shipping but there are plenty of copies BIN on ebay for around 6 bucks with free shipping. :p Apparently, there was an exhibit in 2007 at the Museum of the City of New York, celebrating the three NY MLB teams of 1947-57. This is the accompanying book to that exhibit. It's filled with 350 pictures of the players, the stadiums, memorabilia and ephemera. At 6 bucks, I think it's a must have for any Giants, Yankees or Dodgers fan and anyone else who appreciates the era and/or the artifacts.

Definitely a book worth having. It is loaded with great photos and info. For six bucks you can't go wrong. In 2007 my wife and I undertook a terrific journey from our home in Honolulu to New York which included a week in Manhattan and five days in Cooperstown including a gorgeous drive through the Catskills and a magical rest-stop at the Otesaga. Whilst in town we took in a game at Yankee Stadium where I hadn't been since 1961 and, boy, what a shock that was. Only things that hadn't changed were the pinstripes and the Bronx skyline. The rest was a pathetic facsimile of that wonderful old stadium. But I digress.
I lived in NYC and environs from 1953 to 1961 and was nuts about baseball so the show at the MCNY was right up my alley. I made an ImageEvent album of our trip which might give an idea of the layout of the exhibit and the cool stuff within.

I wish I could have attended. In your photos #5 and 6, it appears the curators let some reproduction Giants pennants into the display. :o

I wouldn't have the eye for that sort of thing compared to you memorabilia folks. There were artifacts of every description there. The whole gestalt was pretty immersive especially for a kid from Manhattan who loved the Giants.
