Any great TTM signers out there?

I just got this Desert Shield back signed from ‘85 World Series MVP and 2x Cy Young Bret Saberhagen in 3 weeks for a $10 donation to his charity — Sabes Wings.

Anyone have some recent success stories through the mail?

Congrats! I like it. It's great to see a few players still do things for a good cause.

Oh man I love TTM autos! Makes mailday even more fun. Nothing super recent, but I've gotten free returns from HOF's Tony Perez, Goose Gossage, Bud Selig, Pat Gillick, Jim Leyland, and Tony Larussa. Also got a return from perfect game pitcher Dallas Braden. Of all of em, my highlight is Perez, as he goes on and off TTM, and I've luckily gotten him both times, once on a 1966 Golden Cup Card for $10, and another on a 2003 Gallery HOF relic for free. Super cool!

Several HOFers sign for very reasonable fees that are a fraction of what they cost at shows. Boggs, Marichal, Sandberg, Mazeroski, Mussina, Dawson and Eckersley all sign TTM for $10 (some higher for RCs). Star players like Steve Garvey, Amos Otis, Al Oliver, Kent Hrbek, Jimmy Key, all sign for $5-10. There are plenty of free signers still as well, lesser name guys but a few bigger names. John Olerud is one that comes to mind as a free signer who had an above average career. It's a fun way to build the collection and quite addictive!

That’s awesome, Derek! For the players you mentioned, how did you go about finding where to send?

If you want to collect baseball autographs then the $14.99 annual fee for www.sportscollectors.net is the best money you’ll ever spend. Any address for any player you’ll ever need, great community, and an active B/S/T. Highly recommend.

Agree. Been a member there since 2002, with over 850 successful returns.

SCN as others mentioned is great. Their ttm forum is second to none. In addition to addresses, there are also notes on signing habits and info on prices the players charge when applicable.

It's EXACTLY what I've been looking for -- many thanks!

Nolan Ryan asks for a donation to his foundation in exchange for signing. I sent him a rookie card maybe two years ago and it came out great. No upcharge for the item either:

Nolan's deal to sign ANY card for $75 is fantastic -- got one myself!

Can’t recommend Nolan and his foundation enough. I think it took about three weeks to get it back. They even confirmed it was received.

In 10 minutes on this site I learned about an upcoming Terry Francona private signing -- I've been waiting for an opportunity for him to sign a 1994 Birmingham Barons roster sheet from Jordan's first series.

The amount of stuff for sale -- and CHEAP -- is amazing.
