Hey Philly show attendees… $40 Net54 prize awaits!

Hey Net54 members

For anyone who is attending (or setting up) at the Philly show, I could use your help… I would love to see (photos) of the best, most interesting dealer set up by vintage dealers at the show.

I am going to do a few more shows and would love ideas on great set up ideas that show off cards, create a great environment for buyers, etc. What makes a dealer table stand out?

As an added incentive, for the best photo/idea here, I will award you with a $40 Net54 BST shopping spree… hope Leon doesn’t mind this! Just a little added incentive and “thx” for photos and killer ideas.

Photos are a bonus in this here contest!

God, this is easy.
Hire a hot bikini babe to man your table with you. None of us pudgy, balding old men will give a flying eff about your pricing as long as we're dealing with her.

You can keep the $40. This is free advice. :D

I don't have any photos, but it is in the video I published yesterday on the other Philly Card Show thread. The dealer "Desert Ice Sports" does a phenomenal job at displaying his setup. It is very clean and organized.

He creates an L formation for his display cases. One laying flat and the other displayed at a slight angle. Makes it very easy for the buyer to see everything without leaning over. Very, very organized seller.

Go to minute 21:20 to catch his table.

To me clear lighting is very helpful. Dealers that have higher end items and put clean, well lit display tend to get my attention. Put a good contrast material like black felt in the case - don’t overcrowd the case. And make sure that case is internally or with a small overhead light.

Best wishes
Scott

Keep in mind that at most shows, electrical to the booth is either not available or at a sizeable cost to the vendor, thus most are not set up with lighting. Now, I have not checked into it, but I imagine there are battery powered lights that might be an option.
