Philly Show this weekend

Pretty late post but I'm making a last minute decision to get down to the Philly show tomorrow. Will be my first. I have a few cards to drop off to SGC / PSA, but I wanted to see if there were recommendations on what to take advantage of at the Philly show that may be unique?

Full transparency, I've only started going to shows again in the past year, so if the answer is "its a show, just bigger" - I got it!

Only thing unique will be probably be dozens of drunk guys in Eagles jersey.

In my limited show experiences, except for the National, The Philly Show has always held the most vintage and pre-war than any other show. That makes it unique, to me. I set up 1-2 times and had fun doing it.

Predicting a light crowd?

Let's hope nobody contracts measles. First case reported in my neck of the woods - South Florida.

And I charitably left the drunk women out altogether.

Went to show. Got there about 2pm left at 5. Easy to drop off items at any of the TPG booths. Nice assortment of cards available. Picked up a few Basketball items. Saw a T206 Wagner at the Memory lane booth. Not one I had seen in person before. Always a treat. Spent awhile talking Baltimore Team issues with a couple guys and learned that an extensive guide had been written. A labor of love that is a treasure of information. I wonder how many other guides for how many teams exist.
As I was leaving crowd was getting larger by the minute, and traffic heading in was backed up. I am sure Eagles fans were were in for a great time. But even us non Eagles fans like me had a great time.

So, a second Wagner will be up for auction this year?

It was Mile High (the restored) card.

Strong crowd from 3 PM when arrived. Loud when Hurts walked in, but crowd was all in back so kept the flow of the show easy to manage. Tomorrow should be busy with the balance of the team.

Spent a lot of time looking around and talking. Howard can attest to that.

A lot of Eagles autographs scheduled for Saturday, but they're in the back room so won't interfere with the main room of dealers. Your biggest problem on Saturday will probably be finding parking. Once you get, plenty of quality vintage dealers to visit.

Picked up this neat snap shot photo booklet taken by a boy at the 1960 All Star Game at Yankee Stadium. Came with 11 photos.

I thought these two snapshots were worthy of a flip.
