Orange Cream Coke Zero

Have any of you tried it? I have, and I may be the only one to say so, but I love it. I like Coke Zero and this is even better to me.

I gave up soda outside of the occasional Ginger Ale, at least 10 years ago or so, but Coke Zero was my drink of choice for awhile. Loved the taste and thought it was comparable to regular Coke (hated Diet Coke), but without the sugar residue on the teeth. Eventually figured out the Aspartame was giving me headaches and making me feel gunky.

Figured at that point it was in my best interest to try and just give up soda almost completely.

Here's that part where I say...."I don't even miss it either"....but I do....I do miss it.

I feel like the older I get...the more things I like, make me feel like shit. :(

Its good, I actually saw some on sale at the checkout for $1 a bottle earlier today and got one. My only complaint is it's a little cream heavy and would be better with more orange/coke flavor.
I'm not diabetic or anything but I've been drinking diet soda exclusively for about 6 years now. No regrets, if in that same span I'd have drank regular soda with sugar I think I would weigh about 50 pounds more at the very least. By far my favorite diet/zero sugar soda ever is Pepsi Zero Cherry, most people I've given it to that only drink regular soda love it.

I've tried the non-zero kind, pretty good. Not quite as good as some of the fancy stuff from smaller companies, but good.

Fun thing - If you've ever gotten soda from one of those machines that lets you pick and mix flavors you've helped pick some of Cokes fancy flavors. Those machines track data on what combinations are bought most often.

I won't touch cancer causing chemically sweetened beverages such as Coke Zero. I reach for cane sugar/high fructose corn syrup sweetened soft drinks.

That being said, I bought a couple of bottles (plastic sadly) of Orange Cream Coke a couple of days ago:

I rather like it. I've also enjoyed Cherry and Vanilla Coke and Pepsi in the past but these are seldom available.

How many elders or fat old people do you see drinking full sugar soda? I'd venture to guess almost none. How many are drinking diet coke? I'd venture to guess most of them.

Sugar is the leading killer of humans in the western world. Diet soda has saved more lives than you could ever imagine by helping people with heart disease or obesity related issues, by losing weight.

Literally everything causes cancer. Red meat is a level 2A carcinogenic while Aspartame is a lesser 2B.

The decades old conspiracy garbage that fake sugar is causing cancer at some crazy rates is complete trash and no studies have ever linked them to reality. When the complete opposite, drinking diet soda has been linked to helping with extreme weight loss and huge improvements in health.

right but if you drink too much soda with artificial sugar you will get artificial diabetes

steve B 03-11-2025 10:48 AM

I don't drink sugar free soft drinks because I rarely like how they taste.

Coke zero is ok, but just ok, not as good as regular coke. The stuff with actual sugar is better than either

What bugs me more is that I can get a 2 liter of store brand for less than a 20 ounce of any name brand. And usually a 2 liter of name brand for only a few cents more than the 20 ounce.

Tried a sugar free bottle today. Wow! Loved it. Took me back to my childhood days when the local ice cream truck used to have something we called a creamsicle. Orange ice outside, vanila ice cream inside. This soda tasted almost just like it. Not saying I'll make it a steady, but thought it was really good.

Creamsicles are still very widely available:

They are my cat's favorite ice cream treat as well. I don't think he would like the coke though mostly because the carbonation scares him.

What is your cat's name?

Bill77 03-13-2025 10:10 PM

His name is Casey. He is so long that I can put him my shoulders and walk around the house.
