Jackie Robinson autograph help

If you can help with opinions on the authenticity of this Jackie Robinson auto, I'd appreciate the input. I've done my best amateur assessment using the examples on PSA's website. Time to get a broader set of opinions.

The auto is in a 1st edition copy of his biography "Wait Till Next Year". The other auto is Carl Rowan, the author.

Thanks.

Over 100 views and no replies. Have I done something stupid in my post?

For me there are some things that look good and others that are a little unusual.

The image is also a bit pixelated, so hard for me to tell if the letters were constructed slowly or not.

(Why I didn't comment the first time I saw it)

Thanks Jeff. Hopefully this photo is a little better.

I believe it is authentic. It is definitely not Rachel's version.

At first look, I thought the Jackie might be good. What concerns me is the Rowan auto (he co-wrote the Jackie Robinson book with Jackie). Every auto I've seen of his has a break between the W and the A, and the cross bar of the T is never wavy. Gives me enough pause to wonder if the Jackie is not good as well.

Good point.

I had looked at his autograph as well and it is relatively close although the two points you make are valid. The Robinson IMO is authentic. Did Jackie sign for Rowan? Maybe? I could certainly be wrong but I have studied Jackie's autograph for many years and I think it was signed in the early 60's. Also, if you were going to forge it, why personalize it?

I'm sure there will be other responses from the autograph regulars but if someone brought it to me at a show with a reasonable asking price, I would buy it.

Thanks Randy and Mike. I've now got it in hand. The early 60's makes sense for the signature. The page has the name of (who I assume was) the book's owner with a date of 6/62

With regards to Carl Rowan. Is there a good repository of authenticated signatures for him? I've founds signed copies of his books online that have the w and a connected but I've not found any authenticated copies of his signature.

Rowan is fine. W and A connected in this example:

No opinion on the Robinson, I don't know enough!
