Are the spots on the front on the actual card or due to the seal (like the back)?

Yes. These “spots” are some sort of scientific phenomena that can be read about. They are not on the card but simply due to the holder.

Yeah I've got it on an item of the same size on the back -- I think they owe you a re-holder for having it on the front. It's too cool an item for this level of PSA ineptitude.
