Just stumbled across this in my 55 Bowman album--I've owned this at least since before 1975.
In checking the online lists for 1955 Bowman Salesman samples, this card doesn't show up on the list. Is this new to the hobby? Or did I miss it on the list (even though I read it through 4 times? Your input is appreciated. Thanks

Very cool. There is one of Yogi Berra listed on eBay (pic below - not mine). VCP (Vintage Card Prices) lists 22 samples but does not list Hoak or Berra so not sure how comprehensive the list is. Either way, nice card!

Thanks! Trading Card Database lists 26 different panels of 3, but neither Hoak nor Berra are included.

I doubt the list is anywhere near complete. I've seen a much greater range of cards used in '55 Bowman salesman samples than any other year of Topps or Bowman salesman samples.
I don't have my notes here, but I've got '55 panels that have all lighter wood, all darker wood, and one that has a combo. Typically the manufacturers used the 1st series for samples, but Bowman seems to have gone a but further. Does anyone know (David Hornish?) what the series were that year? Are the darker wood borders the 2nd series?
