Gehrig and Mantle Authenticity Opinions
 

Hello everyone. As part of a larger deal I have the opportunity to purchase a 1933 Goudey Lou Gehrig #160 and a 1969 Topps Mickey Mantle. I am newer to vintage collecting and I am asking for opinions on the authenticity of these two cards. While I plan on doing a blacklight test when I see them in person, I was hoping to get some opinions before seeing them.

Also, my plan would be to get them slabbed for authenticity but not sure how the state of the Gehrig would impact that.

No chance the Gehrig is good. The Mantle, maybe not but pics aren't really very good. I would recommend not wasting time with whoever is selling them.

I think you'll regret purchasing those if you do get them. They will be problems for you.
