1980 Topps Baseball Rickey Henderson Rack Pack
What cell on the back of a 1980 Topps Baseball rack pack would a Ricky Henderson card have to be in order for it to legitimize it being unopened? I've been looking for examples of the Henderson rookie card on the back and I have seen it on the bottom cell from the header.

Don't know if this helps, but I've had it in my PC since the early 1980s.
I don't know of any info on which cells certain cards were in, but in the mid 1980s, Topps would stack the cards in predictable sequences in their rack packs. For example, there would be a Mattingly card 3 cards down from the top if XX was showing and two cards from the bottom if YY was showing. At one time I had written down the sequences, but I have not seen those lists in many years. The sequences became pretty obvious after opening boxes and boxes of rack packs. Oh what fun we had in the junk era. |
Thanks! My 80 Topps rack pack has the Henderson rookie card on the back in the bottom cell from the header. Did not know if there was a certain cell it was always in and I have not found many back of rack pack examples.

I opened a lot of 1983 Fleer. I wrote down the entire sequence from start to finish and could tell every card in any 1983 Fleer pack. Yep, those were the good old days.
