Going to my very first Trade Show next Saturday: Advice?

I never thought I'd see the day when my little town actually had one...but, hey, we got the Braves' AA team starting this year...so, I guess anything's possible.

I have a few items I'd like to sell, but wonder if I should just carry them in, leave them in the car or provide pics and set up deals...

I just turned 69 and don't travel, so this may be a one-and-only.

Thanks in advance.

NO advice? Really?

For me it would depend on the items. I finally had stuff I was ok with making deals for, and just brought it. I needed a bag to carry purchases in anyway.
Made deals on all the cards, but none on the binder of entertainment autographs. not that I tried all that hard on the binder.

If it was bulky stuff like stadium seats or bats I'd probably do it differently.
Even in a decent area I'm not sure I'd be ok with leaving anything with any real value in the car. Maybe in the trunk?

I like to see who and what are at the show before I bring anything in, so pictures are a good idea to start. Some of these new shows are all modern and while they might be impressed by pre 1980 cards and other items, I am not sure how comfortable they are buying them. Of course, if you have cards that are graded, they could be sellable to any dealer for the right price.

I hope you have a great time!

I always carry mine in with me. I find that when I get a bite I need to set the hook right then, but that is just me, and mostly I’m trading/buying not selling.

I had a great time at the Flip Show today! While most of the venders were pokemon and magic the gathering, there were several that had baseball cards...I was able to find one autographed card I needed for my Braves collection; got an autographed card from former Braves All-Star catcher Johnny Estrada - and shook his hand (as I thought, hugely strong grip!), thanking him and telling him how much I enjoyed his time with the Braves. I also bought two boxes of wax packs to feed my addiction (got virtually nothing, but it was fun opening them)- a few venders who had vintage card were kind enough to look at what I had taken, but no bites...so, you may see some of them out on BST in the coming weeks.

Though this was my first show, it seemed like a good-sized crowd. A good experience!
