If somebody forced me to guess Ohtani's signature with a gun to my head...the 1st name I would come up with would be "Cavan Biggio" for some reason.

For some Japanese players, autographs are rarely consistent when they sign in English. They just don't have the muscle memory in their hands/finer for a language/alphabet they aren't familiar with.

Maybe I'm wrong but I think the original post referred to the photo that is clearly not Ohtani on the preview of his card.

Penmanship has fallen off a cliff since Griffey retired but there are still a few that take pride in their signature. Below are a few notable ones but sadly they are getting sloppier already after just a few years of signing.
