St Louis Stars photo identification help
 

I recently picked up this snapshot which I believe is the St Louis Stars Negro League team, but I'm not 100% sure. I've been digging around a little but haven't found a jersey match. Can anyone help with identification? If not players, at least the team/year. Thanks much!

I think your team is from the 1950s or later, most likely a local amateur team, just my guess.

Here's the St. Louis Stars from 1937.

A lot of Star teams around back in the day. Here's the Philadelphia Stars from 1951.

Yeah I've found a few pics of the St Louis Stars but they all say "St Louis". Was hoping there was a year that they had "Stars" on their jersey.

Thanks for the reply. Very possible it's a local team. Still a cool pic for a buck. Found it in a dusty box of old snapshots on the floor in the back of a small antique store in Texas.

Yes, it's a good pickup. I searched the newspapers in Texas and found a lot of negro baseball teams but I only saw 1 that had Stars in the name. It was the Tyler All-Stars.
