Woodstock, IL, Card Show Saturday, Jan. 18

Show runs from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Woodstock North High School, 3000 Raffel Road, Woodstock, IL. Small show, 30 tables. I am just a dealer at this one, not the promoter. I am bringing out post-war baseball commons from 1950 through 1981. Woodstock is a small town about an hour drive northwest from Chicago.

Wow thats awesome. I grew up in Crystal Lake (one town over) and used to live on the Woodstock square.

Woodstock is the place where the movie Groundhog Day and parts of Planes, Trains and Automobiles was filmed. Probably because the director, John Hughes had a home not far from there.

I hope to see you on Saturday.

I love Woodstock. I usually stop at a farm store on my way home. I think it is on 120. Hope you can make it!

Here I am living in Maryland and I hear about Woodstock. Back in the 80's I would go to a small show at the McHenry VFW hall. It was a great little show and I always loved going.

Wow small world.

I was part of the group that set up that show at the VFW. We were called the Fox Valley Collectors with guys like Doug, Corky, John and so many others. That really was a great little show.

Thanks for the memory today!!

Any chance you have some pictures?

I bought a number of my 69 Topps Cubs at that show. Took me about a year and a half to fill out that set in those pre-internet days. I still have those cards in a nice binder.

Sadly, I do not. Corky had all of the pictures from what I recall and he passed away several years ago and never passed them on to me. I may have some pictures from the mall show we put on in Crystal Lake but that would be about it.
