They decided to run a "new user" $75 promotion along with their another more broadly targeted $25 "new user" promotion during the XMas season when people would be getting boxes/cards for xmas.

All in all, yeah, not surprised.

Not surprising since everything it seems is graded nowadays.. Raw is the minority..

I am outraged as I have some items there now I want back yesterday. OK that is the most I can fake caring. I do have stuff there but don't care if I get them back tomorrow or 6 months from now.:)

Fun times.

I must've just snuck in before the big rush, as my last few submissions from late last year have been completed on time, or appear to be on track to hit the deadline.

Maybe it's common knowledge for many, but I was surprised to see SGC wasn't #2 behind PSA in cards graded. I didn't realize CGC had graded 2.3 million cards last year!

2.2 million of which sold for pennies on the dollar. :D

Value service for anything pre 1979 takes 3 months.

And sometimes longer. Certainly 6 months is within the realm of possibility when the breaks all go the wrong way.

Wonder if this volume contributed to the $10,000 n162 Beecher I was planning to buy they destroyed 2 weeks ago while slabbing

BioCRN 01-25-2025 12:33 PM

I had a cheap-o level bulk submission reach them a week before Xmas (1979-Older).

They finally made into "Reseach & ID" today (over a month after they had the package in-hand).

They estimate March 31, 2025 before it's complete.

So...base your own calculations on that, I guess.

I actually just got another email offer from PSA today. $50 bucks off my first submission. I have a 56 Mantle that may be heading their way.
