Hard to tell, but anyone have an opinion on this “raw” NIEHOFF card?
Real or ? Looks like there is some writing above the name at the bottom.
Opinions and thoughts welcome, thanks!

it looks real but I agree it definitely had writing that was removed at some point.

Looks real, but how thick is it? If it's thick as other CJs, then probably good, if thicker, then that's the dead give away.

Your CJ reminds me of the CJ's I avoid. For whatever reason, there is a fairly large grouping that seems to show the same wear pattern. I think heavy corner rounding is somewhat unusual with CJ's, though you do see it, more likely to have folds or tears in the low grades. These heavily rounded corners are paired with heavy soiling, with the soiling heavier on the edges (possibly an attempt at artificial aging). So, if it has the round corners with the soiling, I won't touch it. This combination often is seen with writing on the front as well. Yours has all three, but it was what could be a caramel stain...which is the first I've seen on a card that has the other characteristics. Here are a couple examples of what I avoid.
