Henry Aaron book by Howard Bryant

I'm guessing a lot of you guys have already read it, but I just finished reading Howard Bryant's biography of Henry Aaron ("The Last Hero: A Life of Henry Aaron"). I dare say that it was even better than The Boys of Summer, by Roger Kahn.

I was expecting something far less expansive when I bought the book. It reads almost like an anthology of baseball from the earliest days of integration, through the steroid era, with Hank Aaron's life story serving as the backdrop.

Really well researched over 4 years by Howard Bryant. It's a rewarding and serious read, if that's what you're looking for.

Would love to read that, but there are like 14 books on my bed side table in various states of reading . . .
