I'm surprised they didn't thrown $20 gold pieces in the basket too! Unless it's a reprint, throwing out a 1952 Topps high number HOFer is a pretty costly mistake.

Maybe it was someone cleaning out the attic, like my mom sixty years ago.;)

Well here is the link to what I assume is the original article. The picture is of old toys and does not have the baseball cards.
